Great Tasting And Nourishing Bone Broth

Prasouda diet

It really is simple to make. You can even use it to finish off any left over veggies you might have.
You will need: 

Organic beef or chicken bones Dash of vinegar 
1 Carrot 
1 Celery Stick 
Handful of Spinach Leaves 
1 Medium Sized sweet Potato 
Tasting
2 or 3 Cloves of Garlic Salt

Fill a pot with water three quarters full or enough to cover the bones and put it to the boil. Add a dash of vinegar to help draw the nutrients out of the bones. Add chopped carrot, celery, spinach, sweet potatoes and a few cloves of garlic and put them in the pot with a pinch of salt. You can really use any vegies here or none at all. Leave to simmer for at least a few hours, the longer the better, and it's ready to serve. You can filter out the vegetables or leave them in. It's the water now that holds most of the nutrients. You can make up a large pot and put it in the fridge for a few days supply. There is no limit to what kind of vegetables you can use. You may like to try onions, leeks, tomato, zucchini, or whatever you have available.

Fat has been given a bad rap over the years but the truth is fat is very important for the body. In fact it‟s what we are made of! All of our cell membranes are made of fats and the brain largely consists of fats. The problem occurs when our diet consists largely of trans fats or hydrogenated vegetable oils. Humans have not been exposed to trans fats for very long and our bodies just don‟t know how to cope with it. Those deep fried chips may taste delicious but your body will pay the price. When your cell membranes are made from trans fats, rather than being soft and flexible they harden and it becomes difficult for information to pass from one cell to the next.

Our bodies just don‟t know how to handle the sweet and fat foods that we eat daily and so we end up putting on weight or with all kinds of other health problems. On the other hand the body loves the minerals and enzymes that fruits, vegetables and good fats provide. They are a rich source of nourishment and help the body to heal and cleanse itself. There will be more recipes towards the end of this guide but I consider this one so important that I will put it here. It is a cleansing vegetable soup or bone broth that will help your body receive the nutrients it needs without the digestive system having to work too hard. Crucial for those of us who are just starting out on a new diet. You can drink this in place of some of the foods that you are trying to cut back on.

These are some of the foods you will want to reduce prior to going on a diet: Alcohol Sugar Artificial Sweeteners – Check labels. If a packet says “No Added Sugar” it may have been replaced with artificial sweeteners. Soft Drinks Cow's Milk Margarine - Ghee or butter is much better Caffeine – Coffee, tea, etc. Wheat based products - such as bread, pastry and cereals. Carbohydrates – Generally speaking we eat far too many carbs. And what happens when carbohydrate enter the body? It acts just like sugar!


Does that sound like a tall order? Remember at this stage all you are doing is trying to cut down on consumption of these foods. A little later we will get to some replacement foods you can use instead of the ones above, foods that are much healthier for you and will promote wellness rather than destroying the body.
What To Do When You Are Hungry Eat vegetables, nuts or fruit! The first thing people do when they start to feel a little bit peckish is reach for that chocolate bar, bag of chips or any other snacks that might be lying around. We could improve our health so much if during these times we filled our stomach first with fruits and vegetables that the body craves. For example, our bodies just don‟t know how to handle too much sugar. The right kind of sugar in the right amount provides energy to our body. Dietary sugar from carbohydrates such as fruits, legumes, vegetables and grains is converted to glucose, released into your blood and fuels the nerve cells in the brain. However, too much sugar can be dangerous. It can affect a number of biological functions and cause a myriad of medical problems.
If you consume too much dietary sugar, or foods with a high glycemic index, such as refined breads, it can increase your blood sugar and even cause your skeletal muscle cells to become resistant to insulin. And this insulin resistance is associated with type 2 diabetes. When your blood sugar level remains high for too long a time, especially if you‟re diabetic, it can narrow your arteries and eventually cause you to lapse into a coma.
